I love this movie. It's so Fantasicalogical!

I prefer Kimura Takuya as Howl for his flamboyant character, but this is just my personal preference. I think of Howl as a young lad which feels right with Kimura Takuya's voice. But even Kimura Takuya said he can't replicate Howl's lines outside Studio Ghibli 😂 and he was given the script first so he had no clue who the heck Calcifer is until he saw some character stills. Howl is described to him as "a young man who meets with a falling star" which is so ambiguous hahaha it's so much more difficult for Kimura Takuya to dub Howl imo

A1 voice casting and acting, especially for old and young Sophie, and for Calcifer. Those 3 voices to me were the absolute best, and in my opinion, outdo the original japanese version.

Wasted opportunity to use his natural accent here.

I actually discovered Miyazaki because of Christian Bale. I became a fan of Batman and started to explore his filmography. So glad I’ve watched so many of Miyazaki’s films.
